    Q: Why “The Fable Company”?

    A: Merriam-Webster defines a Fable as “a narration intended to enforce a useful truth”. This is also how we would also define story-based advertising, and is the guiding definition of what we do here at Fable Co: we create narratives that communicate useful truths to your audience!

    Q: Where are you located?

    A: We’re headquartered in the heart of the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex in Texas, USA. But we love to travel!

    Q: Do you have a studio?

    A: Thanks to rapid changes in the industry, The Fable Company has been able to opt out of the traditional studio model. Instead, we are based out of a home office (it’s what all the cool kids are doing!) and utilize soundstage and location rentals as-needed. This aligns with our boutique, modular approach to video production, which lets us keep our overhead lower so we can better fit your needs.

    Q: Do I really need a video?

    A: Here are 3 good reasons why you might not want to use video as part of your advertising strategy:

    1. You’re in the Witness Protection Program and can’t show your face
    2. You’re a time-traveling entrepreneur from 1801 and the internet hasn’t been invented yet
    3. Your business is SO successful you literally don’t want any more sales


    All jokes aside, marketing statistics show us every single year that video is one of the single most powerful tools to build your platform – whatever your platform may be.     1. Will a video you produce in-house best represent the quality of your brand?
    Modern audiences are incredibly media-savvy, which means that they not only have short windows of attention (recent research suggests you have about 8 seconds to make the right impression), but they also have a low tolerance for amateur production values – there’s just too much high quality, entertaining content competing for their time.


    2. Is producing a video in-house the best use of your time (and money?)
    We get it because we know it. If you’re a business owner, you probably aren’t flush with free time. Figuring out how to shoot the video yourself and trying to fix mistakes in post may end up costing you a lot more in sweat equity than you ever anticipated. Oh, and producing a video DIY isn’t really “free”. You’ll need a camera, good sound, proper lighting, and paid commercial licenses for any music or other media used in your video.

    kind of hideous amoeba with legs knows how hard it is to get a great idea out of your brain and into a tangible form other people can appreciate, and that’s where we come in. We know how to get the horse out of your brain… figuratively speaking!

    A: We are a full-service production company, which means that we develop your video project from concept to completion. Exactly what we provide will vary from project to project, but generally speaking we provide ideas, expertise, equipment, and a talented roster of professionals to fit your needs.     Q: How much does a video cost?

    A: Every video is different! We can’t give prices – even ballparks – online since we have no way of knowing what your needs are. A single camera to film someone giving a testimonial is a lot different than if you email us asking to film a scene of you heroically saving a kitten from a flooded river, for example!     Q: Do you offer branding/logo design/photography/etc?

    A: CONTACT US with your needs! If it’s not something we directly offer, we also have a network of trusted professionals in other creative spaces that we are happy to refer.

    Q: I just want raw footage. Is that something you offer?

    A: We specialize in a turnkey product, completely edited and finished by the time it is delivered to you. Shooting and selling “raw” (raw meaning unedited footage straight from the camera) for a third party editor to finish is not something we offer.

    Q: Do you shoot weddings?

    A: We are not a wedding videography company, sorry. But congratulations!
